[it had been an interesting first week here in Luceti for one of the newcomers. between a birthday party, meeting gods and mortals alike from all sorts of different universes, realizing the gap between himself and his longtime rival and friend was a large one at that, and learning all that he needed to know about the Malnosso and the Third Party alike... Goku had one thing in mind. get stronger, learn the secrets of shifting and hopefully use that power against the ones keeping them here and against the enemies that would destroy him and his loved ones. nothing would ever sway him from that goal.

but right now he knew that it wouldn't be enough- with only half of his power at the ready, he needed to train harder. not only to catch up to Vegeta, but to retain that former strength he once had. it was going to take quite some time, but if anyone could make it happen, it was Goku. and right now he's currently sitting on the roof of the fourth community house, opening the journal and giving the people of Luceti a friendly grin]

Hey everyone! I don't think I've gotten a chance to meet everyone here yet, but my name is Goku! I've got a favor to ask if anyone would like to help me out here.

See, I'm going to train so that one day we can properly take out the Malnosso and the Third Party and I can't exactly do much by myself for long. I know we've got a long way to go and they're really dangerous, [as he got the gears from Saori for when he first arrived] but that's exactly why I want to be ready for them when it's time to save everyone.

So! Who wants to have a spar? I wouldn't mind testing myself against some of the other real strong fighters here. And if you're not that strong, that's fine too if you want someone to train with.

We're all in this together, after all!

Nothing specific. If you can keep up we can get more serious, or we can just practice martial arts so our form doesn't get sloppy.

Do you know proper sparring form, Saori? [he could always assume, but hey. he's just seen her elemental powers]

Oh, I know sparring well. I'm a martial artist myself, though the forms I know are very, very different from yours. There's no ki involved, though it's blended with magic.

That's fine. Before I started using ki, it was all about how skilled and strong you were. Though I did use the Kamehameha Wave when I was a kid!

Well, perhaps it'd be better if we sparred without such things at first. Focused on the motion, and worked without our powers for a time. The Battle Dome can suppress them. And there will be times when you'll have to learn to fight without them here.

[It's also probably safest for everyone. Less chance of backlash. And she's been needing a partner who's got more finesse and relies less on powers so she can practice the same.]
