001; [Accidental Video & Action] • Action In CH #4 - Floor 3 Kitchen

[most newcomers to the realm of Luceti would be more concerned or focused on trying to leave this place or find answers. not to say that this certain resident hadn't checked out everything there was about this place after shortly arriving. he'd learned to leave those little wings on his back alone too after trying to give them a little tug and smarting more than he expected. but sometimes there was just some things that a man had to take care of that just couldn't wait. and what was that, someone might ask?]

[having set his journal down in front of him, a newcomer didn't quite anticipate that the video portion would be on at this point when he set it down. must have been a slip of the finger. but slowly but surely...]

Hoo!! Man that hit the spot! A moment later and I might have starved to death!

[the fridge on the floor Goku's on in his apartment may or may not look a little...ahem...barren. sorry. excluding what he picked up on the way back. patting his stomach and wiping his mouth, he reaches for the journal now and looks into it. oh, it was on? he's not that technologically dumb thanks to the Briefs family, so he knows the video's on. but he didn't quite figure out that it recorded his entire dining escapade either]

Right... Now that I can think straight,

I'm supposed to be able to use this thing to talk to other people here, right? Guess that means I wasn't the only one taken away... I can't sense anyone's energy back home. Instant Transmission doesn't work either.

Uh, hey, you guys can see me, right? In the book?

[he's not weirded out by this concept either. nope. totally normal]

Well before I make my next move, I should get the facts straight and find out if everything I've seen and been told is real or not.

[She leans forward in her seat and peers into the camera. It...well...huh. Guess it was the right name.]

It's a video, of course I can. And yes, I did. I'm not a Saiyan, but Vegeta's mentioned you to me more than once. And I've run into you before, though you may not remember it. This place is like that sometimes.

Wait a sec. Vegeta? Is he here?

[that would explain that if she's not a Saiyan but knows him by his alien name there was only one person alive who still called him by that name]

Oh, sorry but could you hold on for a second please?

[leaning away from the camera, Goku raises his index and middle finger to his forehead and concentrates, his expression suddenly more stern and betraying his more goofy demeanor, concentrating]

Hey yeah! That's Vegeta's energy alright. [he seems...surprised at the same time as he's glad he can feel Vegeta]

(But that power... It's incredible! Is that really Vegeta? I felt some other familiar energy too.)

[uhm. Goku. you have company]

Eheheheh, sorry Miss! I got distracted for a second there.

[he also totally forgot about the last part she said about running into him before. don't worry it may or may not come back to him at a later time]

Anyways, Vegeta is the only one that calls me by my Saiyan name. Everyone else calls me Goku! Nice to meet you...uhm...

[name for the lady?]

[Her eyebrow arches as he answers his own question. Goku, rude.]

Yes, Vegeta, Trunks and Bulla are here.

[Vegeta was right about you, goofy.]

Goku? [Well, he's not that different from her cousin. Must be a namesake.] I am Saori Kimura, the Daughter of Wind and Rain. You can just call me Saori.

Trunks and Bulla too? [Trunks is one thing...but Bulla? last he checked she wasn't born not too long ago. a little kid here? no worries, he'll find out the truth shortly, but it does worry him] Guess that's all the more reason for me to find a way out of this mess.

Yeah, see, I was sent to Earth as a baby to take it over pretty much. But I forgot all about that and my Grandpa named me Son Goku! I much prefer that. I may be a Saiyan, but Earth is my home. It's nice to meet you, Saori.

That's right. Both of them. [Boy will HE be in for a surprise in a bit...] And Bulma, Vegeta's wife? She left not long ago. And...so did you, from my understanding of it. But people come back without memories of it sometimes. That's normal, so don't think too hard about it.

[So he can at least get some of the fact's straight. And now for names...]

Son Goku? Seriously? That...well I guess given what you are, is sort of ironic. [Since she knows about the whole Oozaru thing...] I have a cousin named Son Goku, The Enlightened Fool and the Great Ape King. He's a god like me.

[No sense bothering to keep that part hidden, either. Something about Goku just...he's so likable, and he's being open too. Taking over the Earth and all of that sounded odd, but eh...given Vegeta?]

Whoa! Seriously?! I've been here before? But I wouldn't remember that... Oh. That's right. Maybe it was an alternate timeline or something. Like when Trunks came from the future and helped us fight the androids...

[he'll be thinking hard about it. sorry] I'll just have to go with the flow. It can't be that hard to get the idea here.

Wait, you're a god too?! [he doesn't say that like he's one himself. ...just that he's made friends with a couple of them in his time] You wouldn't happen to know about Bills, the God of Destruction, would you? Or are you from another universe altogether?

Something like that, yes. It's a little more complicated but the details are so fine that there's no practical difference. I'm not very good with those sorts of details. Mostly, I know that we're trapped in another universe.

[There's a laugh, musical and playful.]

Of course, did you think the title was just me being pompous? [Grin!] I don't know any got named Bills, though. The God of Destruction where I'm from is my uncle, Amatsu Mikaboshi. So yes, that means we're from different universes.

[Oh she likes you, Goku. You didn't say she was lying flat out, and that means a lot to her.]

Can you guess what kind of god I am?

Right. Got it. Though I admit that this will be my first time in another universe altogether. I've been all over my own though!

[Goku will just smile and shake his head at that]

Not really. If you're a God, you're a God! But that must mean you're from another universe too.

I wonder how strong this Amatsu guy is...

[hey. lady's asking you a question!]

Hm? Well...you said you were the daughter of...wind, right? [and rain, Goku]

Well, I don't know. He doesn't leave the spirit world much, and I don't go there much. But he's my uncle, so I imagine he's pretty strong. Not as strong as Bishamonten or Izanagi, but strong.

[Saori, stop giving him things to want to fight...]

And yes. Daughter of wind and rain.

Oh! So it's like how Whis was Bills' teacher! I wouldn't mind seeing how I stack up against those two one day... But that can wait. I've got more important things to take care of.

So would that make you the God...or....Goddess of Wind and Rain?

Well if either one of them ends up here in Luceti, trapped with us? I'll be sure to let you know. The God of War will hardly ever turn away a challenger.

And yes, that's right. I'm a storm god. Nothing so grand as my uncles, but then...it's the role I was meant to play.

God of War huh? Sounds exciting! I look forward to it if the time comes.

So can you control the weather or something? It may not be as grand as the others, but you can never underestimate the power of the planet.

More than that, but yes, essentially. Wind, Rain, Lightning, Hail, and the powers of a storm are my domain, and I've had centuries to study fighting and sorcery. I'm a younger god, you understand, but my powers...I don't think they're important right now. I don't fight mortals unless I can help it, save for training. Suffice to say, I am a friend and I'm sure we;ll get along and be able to help one another.

[Now, the important bits. Get ready for short overviews of the place.]

You wanted to get facts straight, yes? Then allow me to lay things out simply. You are in Luceti, another universe, trapped inside a bubble. Outside the bubble there are to warring groups. The Malnosso and the Third Party. The Malnosso are scientists in charge of the bubble, and the Third Party wants to kill all of us.

The barrier is unbreakable, and saps some of our strength or Vegeta and I would've broken it ages ago. There are other gods here as well, and powerful warriors. I'm not saying this to discourage you, I just want you to understand the situation thus far.

That sounds awesome! It's better to make friends instead of enemies. Especially if it's a god.

[but to that end, Goku pipes down and listens, his expression focused now as he's ready to get down to business]

The Malnosso... So that's what they're called. So we're up against whoever the Third Party is, right?

Yeah, I already checked out the barrier. [by running into it with his face by accident] I didn't get a chance to do anything to it because I got hungry.

Wait, not even Vegeta could break through? I thought something felt off about my power, but...

(This isn't good. If Vegeta couldn't even break it...and he's gotten a lot stronger...)

Saori, are there any consequences for trying to attack that barrier?

Wrong. We're up against both. The Malnosso trap us here and experiment on us. They do things like wipe our memories, modify our bodies, and toy with our emotions. And they can do it without touching us. They are not our friends either. If anything, they're less problematic than the Third Party, but they're still enemies. They keep out the Third Party, but that's the only real favor they do us. And even then they sometimes conscript us to fight for them in their war. Not just fighters, but children too.

And as far as I know? No. It'll take energy, and if you punch it, you'll be hitting something solid as the earth itself. But there's no punishment for it, given that it's all but impossible to break there's no point to the Malnosso doing that.

It's worse than I thought. [he's calm enough, but the thought of how much power they have over the people here....and the fact they don't stop at fighters and even children for pointless wars...]

I think I'm going to go check out the barrier and see what I can do.

[because obviously that's the most rational choice]

Is there anything else about this place and how things work that I could know about?

[and just to prove that point, Goku's already going out the nearest window, again leaving the mess he left behind for now. he'll be back ~~to heckle Vegeta~~ in a short bit]

[he closes the book and hops straight out the window. he wasn't certain where her energy signal was coming from since there were quite a few powerful forces here, but so long as he just went south...]

[aaand he's off. boy is he off. if there was an energy source to lock onto he would have just used instant transmission, but for now he's just gonna break the sound barrier and others (but not the one they're going to) as he flies with a bright white aura around his body]

[No point in bothering with a response, she just hops off the roof and makes her way south. It's not that fast, no reason to hurry, and she arrives in about twenty minutes. Of course, she's not flying the same way, she's seated on a cloud that's driving lazily along underneath her. Goku's not hard to spot, really and she drifts down to him.]

Good afternoon, Goku. I hope you weren't waiting too long. I didn't see the point in hurrying.

[Goku was about a two miles distance from the actual physical point of the barrier. ...enough distance for a blast or two no doubt. when he can sense the godly ki of Saori coming from a distance behind him, he turns around. fortunately he hadn't been waiting too long. so he can't help but offer her an energetic wave]

Heeey! Saori! You made it!

[as he flies over to meet her, he couldn't help but notice that she was riding on a cloud...]

Is that a Nimbus cloud?

[Well, when she comes down, there's definitely a flicker of interest in her eyes too. She doesn't sense ki the same way, but she does sense magical and divine energy. And he's got a hint of the touch of divinity on him. Probably from that Bills character, and something she'll be keeping an eye on.

She rides up beside him and hops off, waving cheerily.]

No, it's a cumulus cloud. A nimbus cloud would've wet my dress, so it doesn't really make fora great seat, now does it?

Really? I didn't notice getting wet when I rode Nimbus. [ahhh nostalgia]

It's nice to meet you in person, Saori. [he inclines his head]
