[most newcomers to the realm of Luceti would be more concerned or focused on trying to leave this place or find answers. not to say that this certain resident hadn't checked out everything there was about this place after shortly arriving. he'd learned to leave those little wings on his back alone too after trying to give them a little tug and smarting more than he expected. but sometimes there was just some things that a man had to take care of that just couldn't wait. and what was that, someone might ask?]

Right... Now that I can think straight,

You're right about that. Some of us are lucky enough to have some of our family here with us... but we all have people we miss at home. Breaking the barrier is still just one step, though. We'd be free of this place, but we'd still need a way back home.

I bet I could help. With Instant Transmission, so long as I have someone's energy to lock on to, I can go anywhere I want in the universe!

Well it has to be. Not that it's easy for anyone to do. I've been there when I was both dead and alive! Spent about seven years in Other World training though. It was worth it.

Dead... and alive? And you trained there? What kind of training could you do there...?

To be honest, a lot more compared to what I can do when I'm alive. See, when you're dead, there's a lot less strain on your body when fighting, so getting stronger or keeping your stamina up is a lot easier.

Really? I - I guess that's neat. But still, I'd rather not find out for myself anytime soon.

That's not right. Monks shouldn't be bullies. [He shakes his head. ...Even though his peers weren't the nicest to him, either.]

Airbenders are people with the ability to manipulate air. It's one of the four types of bending! Air is the element of freedom.

It's one of the most awesome things ever! But your friend... He wasn't an airbender, was he?

No, I've never heard of Airbending on Earth. We can fly though! But...that's not really manipulating the air, just using our Ki to push ourselves through it.

I see. That is different from airbending... but it's okay. I haven't found another world yet that has bending like we do, but you all have your own neat things.

[the longer Goku talks to Aang, the more he realizes that despite all the drawbacks of this world and what the Malnosso were doing to people, seeing so many different techniques here...]

Hey if it's not too much to ask, Aang... You think you could show me how this airbending thing works some time? I'd love to see it in action!

[and so Goku can try to train in THAT too. silly Saiyan]
