[most newcomers to the realm of Luceti would be more concerned or focused on trying to leave this place or find answers. not to say that this certain resident hadn't checked out everything there was about this place after shortly arriving. he'd learned to leave those little wings on his back alone too after trying to give them a little tug and smarting more than he expected. but sometimes there was just some things that a man had to take care of that just couldn't wait. and what was that, someone might ask?]
Om nom nomph--mmm..! Mm!! Snarf--
[having set his journal down in front of him, a newcomer didn't quite anticipate that the video portion would be on at this point when he set it down. must have been a slip of the finger. but slowly but surely...]

NOM NOM NYORM... Aahhhooomp--
......
BUUURP!!
Hoo!! Man that hit the spot! A moment later and I might have starved to death!
[the fridge on the floor Goku's on in his apartment may or may not look a little...ahem...barren. sorry. excluding what he picked up on the way back. patting his stomach and wiping his mouth, he reaches for the journal now and looks into it. oh, it was on? he's not that technologically dumb thanks to the Briefs family, so he knows the video's on. but he didn't quite figure out that it recorded his entire dining escapade either]
Right... Now that I can think straight,

I'm supposed to be able to use this thing to talk to other people here, right? Guess that means I wasn't the only one taken away... I can't sense anyone's energy back home. Instant Transmission doesn't work either.
Uh, hey, you guys can see me, right? In the book?
[he's not weirded out by this concept either. nope. totally normal]
Well before I make my next move, I should get the facts straight and find out if everything I've seen and been told is real or not.

[Ah, timelines. Even knowing that people can come in from different times, it's still hard to tell sometimes. Especially with someone like Goku, who doesn't obviously age.]
Bulma is my mother. I'm Bulla...but I guess I haven't been born in your time yet, huh?

Wow, you look just like your mother! Guess Saori was right when she said you and Trunks were both here.
[he's just relieved that you're not a child. kids had no reason being in a bad place like this]
You must be from the future like Vegeta is.

[She was turned into one for a few days. Lucky Vegeta got to deal with Trunks at eight years old and her at five years old at the same time.]
Trunks is from the future, too. He's twenty-eight and I'm sixteen now. How young am I in your time?

[But at least she was born. It would have been way more awkward if he'd come from a much earlier time, before he and her father were even friends. This isn't so bad.]
Although I've been here for close to eight months now, too. I turned sixteen this July.

Vegeta must have been giving you some real good training here.

[In fact, that was the first time she'd really put in a major effort training, and had done so for weeks before Father's Day so she could handle eight hours of training with him. It had been a labour of love that left her achey and sore for the next few days after.]

[oh Goku. just you wait until you get sent shopping]

[In fact, these days, her fighting style is a very eclectic mix of moves she's learned mostly from people from other worlds. The one bit of natural Saiyan fighting talent that's surfaced in a big way has involved being able to make those styles flow seamlessly together into one of her very own.]
Needless to say, Dad was very surprised.

[brb Vegeta fighting your daughter]

[Even Vegeta had pulled his punches to some extent, increasing the amount of force he used gradually until it was just barely what she could handle. He'd wanted to make sure she knew what it felt like to be truly hit, but had shown enough restraint to ensure he didn't seriously harm her. None of the blows she'd landed had been free shots. All of them were earned through effort and through successfully faking him out. Having odd combinations of moves helped.]

[It's not her first choice for a reunion, but the request isn't surprising.]
I actually started training at first so I could protect little kids from drafts because that is just totally wrong, but then I just kept going from there and stepped up my training a lot to prepare for Dad's surprise.

[Especially since it was hard to nag her into doing anything she didn't want to do. Bulla inherited her parents' stubbornness in spades.]
And he did support me protecting others by pushing me to get better with my ki.
[She'd offered to share her ki with others as an experiment some time ago, and though he thought that was a silly idea, he emphasized that she'd be able to do more to protect people by mastering her ki herself.]

[Ugh, she's so not doing her father's early morning training routine, even if she's more open to training now than she's been in the past.]
