[most newcomers to the realm of Luceti would be more concerned or focused on trying to leave this place or find answers. not to say that this certain resident hadn't checked out everything there was about this place after shortly arriving. he'd learned to leave those little wings on his back alone too after trying to give them a little tug and smarting more than he expected. but sometimes there was just some things that a man had to take care of that just couldn't wait. and what was that, someone might ask?]

[having set his journal down in front of him, a newcomer didn't quite anticipate that the video portion would be on at this point when he set it down. must have been a slip of the finger. but slowly but surely...]

[the fridge on the floor Goku's on in his apartment may or may not look a little...ahem...barren. sorry. excluding what he picked up on the way back. patting his stomach and wiping his mouth, he reaches for the journal now and looks into it. oh, it was on? he's not that technologically dumb thanks to the Briefs family, so he knows the video's on. but he didn't quite figure out that it recorded his entire dining escapade either]

Right... Now that I can think straight,

I'm supposed to be able to use this thing to talk to other people here, right? Guess that means I wasn't the only one taken away... I can't sense anyone's energy back home. Instant Transmission doesn't work either.

Well before I make my next move, I should get the facts straight and find out if everything I've seen and been told is real or not.

These wings aren't too bad. So long as they don't get in the way when I'm fighting, they'll be fine. I'm not even dead though...

Hey, Cliff! My name's Goku. Saori told me some things about the guys keeping us here and the...Third Party, I think? I've got the basic idea now but if there's anything I might be missing, I'm all ears!

I'll just let you in on another little thing that gets confused enough. Those bureaucrats aren't the ones who brought us here, and they can't send us back. That's the doing of this weird planet.

Also. There's a few different groups among them that don't see eye to eye. While a lot of these Shifts are on them, you can't really blame the whole lot of them.

The planet itself brought us here? But how is that possible? ...is it sentient? What's a Shift?

Aah. So you know Vegeta too? [Cliff smiled. But there was something about the way that Goku said it...]

I dunno what this planet does or why. For all we know it might just want us to be it's toys, and the Shifts are how it plays with it. Bringing us here is one of those, I think. And not all of us come from the same place.

I take it you know Vegeta from home?

So if this world is behind us being stuck here... We break the planet, we get to go home. But that's a little reckless right now... I'm not going to try that when there are so many people here that could get hurt.

[he says all of this with a completely straight face. and he's thinking about other people that are OUTSIDE of the barrier either. if it was anything like the Big Geti Star, that might have been easier to handle]

Yeah, Vegeta's a friend back on Earth. He's been here for a while, so I imagine you've gotten to know him a little bit yourself.

Let's just say I know him well enough to know that Grumpyface might think you're a bit too kind. [He grinned.] Personally, it's nice to finally meet someone who can think a bit on this for what it is-- a mess that runs deeper than it looks.

Hahah, that sounds like Vegeta alright. Well no matter how deep it is, I'm gonna get to the bottom of it.

You and me and everyone else in this place. Tons have their own ideas on things, but I'm not gonna be so hasty.

If you want a good place to start, there's these spirits around here that can teach you a thing or two if you're a little patient and have the brain for it. There's, uh...eight of them, I think. Don't quote me on that.

But they're native to this place. It might give you a leg up in your plan.
